Online Board Games Hub lets you play board games directly in your browser with no accounts and no sign-up. That design keeps this policy short: the site itself has very little to say about your personal data, because it collects very little. What remains to explain is the standard machinery underneath any website - hosting logs, functional settings storage and, because the site is funded by advertising, third-party ad technology. Each of those is covered below, along with the choices you have.

In short: the site sets no tracking cookies of its own today, embeds no analytics today, and the games never send your moves or scores anywhere. Ads are served by third parties, and their data practices are described in their own policies, which we link to.

The site currently uses only functional storage: small values kept in your browser’s local storage to remember preferences between visits - for example whether you turned game sound on or off. These values stay on your device, are read only by the site, and are removed if you clear your browser’s site data.

The site itself does not currently set tracking cookies, advertising cookies or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first - see “Changes to this policy” below.

You can block or delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser’s settings. Blocking storage does not stop the games from working; it simply means preferences reset to their defaults on each visit.

There is no analytics tool embedded in the site today. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no heat-mapping script.

That may change. If a tool such as Google Analytics is added later, it would typically collect: which pages you view and for how long, your approximate location derived from your IP address (usually country or city level), your device and browser type, your language, the site that referred you, and the times of your visits. It would set its own cookies to distinguish visitors, and the data would be processed under Google’s privacy terms. If and when that happens, this section will be rewritten to say exactly what is collected, and the date at the top of the page will change.

The site is free and ad-supported. Advertising is planned to be managed through a third-party platform (Ezoic), which in turn works with a range of ad vendors. What follows is a general, honest description of how such systems work; the binding details are always in each vendor’s own policy.

• Ad delivery. When an ad slot loads, the ad platform decides which advertisement to fill it with. To do that it may read and set cookies and similar technologies on your device.
• Frequency capping. Vendors commonly use cookies to limit how often the same person sees the same ad - the mechanism that stops one campaign from following you through every page.
• Measurement. Cookies help count how often an ad was shown and whether it was interacted with, which is how advertisers pay for the free access you get.
• Personalized (interest-based) advertising. Some vendors infer interests from the pages you visit across many websites over time, and use that to show ads they think are more relevant to you. You are never required to accept this - see the opt-out options below.

To opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating vendors at once, you can use the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out tool at optout.networkadvertising.org or your browser’s own tracking-prevention settings, which increasingly block third-party ad cookies by default. Individual ad platforms also offer their own preference pages.

None. The site has no accounts, so it cannot and does not tailor content to individuals, rank games by your history or remember what you played. The only personalization that may affect what you see comes from the advertising layer described above, not from the games or the content.

Every game runs entirely in your browser. Your moves, scores, settings chosen inside a game session and the board position itself are held in the page’s memory while you play and are never transmitted to the site - there is no server keeping a copy. When you close the tab, the game is gone.

The only thing that can persist after a visit is a small preference (such as the sound setting) written to local storage on your own device. Games store nothing else: no profiles, no history, no statistics about you.

Like nearly every website, the hosting provider that serves this site records standard technical logs: your IP address, the browser and device you use, the pages requested, and the time of the request. These logs exist for security and operational purposes - detecting abuse, blocking attacks and diagnosing faults - and are retained for a limited period under the provider’s own policies. They are not used to profile you or to advertise to you.

• Control cookies: block, limit or delete them in your browser settings at any time.
• Opt out of ad personalization: use the NAI tool linked above or your browser’s tracking protection.
• Access and deletion: if you want to know what personal data may be associated with you - realistically, entries in hosting logs - or want it deleted, send a request through the contact page with the subject “privacy request”. Because the site keeps almost nothing, most requests concern server logs or advertising vendors.
• Local data: anything on your device (stored preferences) you can erase yourself by clearing site data in your browser - no request needed.

The games themselves are family-friendly, but this site is a general audience site and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children: there are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no requests for personal details anywhere on the site.

Because advertising is served by third-party platforms, those partners are expected not to knowingly collect data from children on this site, in line with their own compliance programs. Parents who prefer no interest-based advertising for a shared family device can enable the opt-outs described above, and younger players are best supervised while ads are displayed. If you believe a child’s data has been collected through this site, contact us via the contact page and it will be taken seriously.

The site relies on a small set of third parties to operate: a hosting provider (serving pages and the logs described above), an advertising platform and its vendors (ads, cookies and measurement), and, in the future, possibly an analytics provider. Each of these processes data under its own privacy policy, and their inclusion here will be kept accurate as the arrangement changes.

This policy will be updated whenever the site’s data practices change - for example if analytics is added, if the advertising setup changes materially, or if new third-party services are introduced. The “last updated” date at the top will always reflect the current version, so a changed date is your signal to re-read it.
